Economic Development of Talbot County/Talbotton Georgia

Talbot County has a very active Industrial Authority, that is also a member of the Valley Partnership. In the past years they have been instrumental in getting such businesses as Junction City Mining and Oglethorpe Power to locate in the area. The Authority meets on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at the Chamber Building.

A new 100 acre Industrial Park, located on the east side of Talbotton, is currently being made site ready for new industry. Water, sewage, fiber optics, gas and electricity are available. There are 12 tracts varing in size from 10 acres to 4.6 acres. The site is located next to a major highway (Ga. Highway's 41 & 80) and Railroad lines are across the street.
