Things to do in Talbot County Georgia

The Fall Line Festival and Car Show
Held the second Saturday in October on the square in Talbotton. The Festival features live music, a Bar-B-Que Rib Cook-Off, arts and crafts, historic tours, food, and a Car Show that is the best in the area. For more information call 706-665-8079.

Fourth of July Fireworks
Held on every 4th of July at Upton Lake, located on Highway 315. The fun starts at 6:00 p.m. with live music, food and free watermelons. The fireworks go off at dark and its a show you won't likely forget. For more information contact the Chamber at 706-665-8079.

Plantation Days
Stoll back in time the first week-end of November with Plantation Days at Patsiliga Museum on Fielders Mill Road outside Junction City, Ga. For 2013, it will be November 1st and 2nd. For more information call 706-269-3630.

Old South Farm Museum
A unique museum featuring an extensive collection of farming tools and other artifacts from the rural South. Located just north of Woodland of US41.

Big Lazar Creek Fishing & Wildlife Preserve
Great fishing, hunting and camping available in a picturesque wooded retreat. Located on Po Biddy Road off US80 (east of Talbotton). A children's fishing Rodeo is held here each year on the 1st Saturday in June for ages 3-15. This is sponsored by DNR and The Talbot County Chamber of Commerce.

Flint River Outdoor Center
Canoeing and rafting of the scenic Flint River. Located on GA36 at the Flint River.
